Specialised clockmakers journals
In 1893, the Nederlandse Bond der Horlogemakers (Dutch Watchmakers Union), presided by its co-founder J.D. Ketelaar, launched the journal "Christiaan Huygens: Vakblad voor uurwerkmakers en hunne vereenigingen" (Professional Journal for clockmakers and their organisations). Its first editor was A. Veringa, followed in 1917 by the Haarlem watchmaker C. de Boom and between 1930 and 1949 by J. Prinsen.
This was followed in 1903 by the creation of the more innovative "Tijdschrift voor horlogemakers" (Watchmakers Journal), which was edited by the mathematician Henri Christiaan Faddegon (1875-1930), founder of the Museum en Archief van Tijdmeetkunde (Museum and Archives of Chronometry).
In turn this was followed in 1941 by the journal "Het Uurwerk"(The clock). In 1950, 'Christiaan Huygens' and 'Het Uurwerk' merged into the journal "Chronos: Officieel orgaan van de organisaties in de uurwerkenbranche", which was edited by Drs. G.A. de Boer (until 1959), J. Stigter (1960) and H.W. van der Bie (since 1961).

Since 1995, the Federatie Klokkenvrienden issues the quarterly journal "Tijdschrift". Illustrations:
